What I'm doing now
A snapshot of what has my attention right now.
Quiet life in Paris
Work in the morning, gym after, learn something in the evening (or not), sport and friends on weekends. Repeat. I’m waiting for something interesting to break it.
A short-lived hobby
I got into book nooks, the little dioramas that slide between books on a shelf. I barely own any books, but I love building things and I’d had enough of LEGO. I broke a few pieces along the way. Still fun, and they ended up as decoration on my desk. Two sets done. I’m not sure there’ll be a third, because each one eats way too many hours.
Country count: 5
I set foot in Germany (Frankfurt) last month, which brings me to 5 countries. Yes, just 5. Number 6 would be Belgium, for Christmas with friends.
Back to games
Work burned me out recently, mostly from AI overload. After a full day of AI-maxing, games feel like the one place I still use my own brain. My game is TFT. It doesn’t run on macOS, so I play on my tablet.
Still learning
French: TCF B2 done. Reading, listening and grammar are solid. Writing and speaking, not so much. Long road ahead. I’m also pushing into system design, starting with Designing Data-Intensive Applications. I’ll probably write a few posts along the way: notes, takeaways, the parts that finally click. Learning in public, slowly.
